But be careful battered, abused or neglected, they will run away. So basically you take care of any amount of petz, keep them healthy not too fat, not too thin, full & not thirsty, clean and excersised. ‘Cause I need to go school and everything else, haha. Yeah, I could go on forever, but I can’t. A few of the many good points are: you get to choose you’r own pet from many breeds and colours, you get to download breeds, and explore & make different playscenes. Like, the game freezes, petz get corrupted files, game won’t load, and lots more. Although they’re are downpoints in getting it. Well even though it’s very slow at times, it keep’s you very amused especially when you’r bored, and have nothing else to do. It’s a Ubi Soft game which was released in 2001, you may be thinking “why do I want a game that’s sooo old?!”. Oh my god! You don’t know what Petz 5 is! That’s funny! But I suppose I shall tell you, but only because so you don’t run around like HeadlessChicken’s wondering what to do. Please comment only with questions about Petz 5, that I can fix, and I will answer them.
Enjoy! Head over to the "adopt" page or any of the "apply" pages, let me know you're new and I'll shower you with petz. This page is where I help you.
STEP 2: Patch the game with "PetzA" from Sherlock Software to make it the full version of the game (there seems to be some issues with newer computers when installing into program files and this prevents many issues) STEP 1: Download the petz demo here and save into " My Documents" (NOT program files) Otherwise, it sounds like Petz is working with Windows 10 (and all older versions). I will update this later if I find out a wayto make PetzA profiles compatible with older versions of windows.
NOTE: If playing on Windows 10, do NOT "enable PetzA profiles" in the "PetzA options" or you will have to reinstall. Save into "My Documents" in order to save some trouble with issues about where petz are saved and maintaining your game's data.
I personally don't know how to make that work. Should work on all "Windows" computers, but if you want to play on a Mac. Even those who own Petz 3 can adopt petz from Petz 4. Since most users on the web use Petz 4, I would advise this one simply because if you want to adopt petz out to other players, you will be able to reach a larger audience by making them available to all people. Petz 5 also seems to be a bit glitchy and is not backwards compatible. So I probably would stick with this version if you decide to play. Note: Unlike Petz 4, there does not seem to be any legal way to download Petz 5 for free. I have not uploaded the files myself, but am simply pointing you in the right direction of where to find them. Ubisoft no longer sells the game, and when it was around they even had a patch & demo available where it could be obtained for free, so there should be no issue with me including it here. I'm serious.) In addition, since the game is so old it's very hard to obtain.
My hope is that by sharing where to install the game here, that more people will find the game and join the "petz community" of petz players both old and young (there are people in their 30's and older that still play the game. Since Petz is such an old game, it is difficult to get new people to play.
